JONATHAN

Growing up in the northern British Columbia, Jonathan developed a profound connection with the outdoors and an insatiable appetite for physical activity. Throughout his youth, he immersed himself in as many sports as possible from hockey and volleyball to mountain biking, snowboarding, and running.

Jonathan found physiotherapy after witnessing a close friend's challenging journey through rehabilitation following a serious accident. Inspired by the transformative process and driven by a desire to help others reclaim their physical capabilities he decided to pursue it as a career.

Today, he combines his extensive athletic background with his clinical expertise to provide comprehensive care for patients from all walks of life. When not in clinic, he can often be found exploring the endless trails and wilderness areas that first shaped his love for movement and physical well-being with his wife and two children.

Services

Comprehensive Assessments

Your initial appointment will include a full body assessment of your mobility, strength, nervous system and functional mechanics to gain greater insight into the injury or complaint.

Education and Planning

Following your assessment, your physiotherapist will discuss the issue and what to expect in your rehabilitation journey.

Manual Therapy

Depending on the issue, your physiotherapist may utilize hands-on techniques like joint, muscle or skin mobilization.

Dry Needling

Dry-Needling or Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a technique used to disrupt small bands in muscle tissue to aid in improving body mechanics and reducing pain.

Exercise Prescription

Your session will include a targeted exercise program for you to complete at home.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

An acoustic wave treatment that transmits energy to an area of concern, by transmitting a peak pressure nearly 1000x greater than an ultrasound wave. ESWT can be an effective tool for jump-starting the healing process, decreasing pain, and stimulating the body to repair and regenerate tissues. Some injuries that may be appropriate for ESWT include tendonitis/tendonalgia, calcifications, bursitis, plantar fasciitis/heel spurs, carpal tunnel, De Quarvains Tenosynovitis, arthritis, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, patellar tendonitis, muscle trigger points, and more!
